Individual Therapy

Dedicated time for you.

Individual therapy is a great space to be able to focus on your needs, wants, and goals. Your therapist will work with you to address the things you want to see change. Our skilled therapists will walk alongside and guide you as you process, explore, and make space for change.

THE DETAILS

  • Rowan Tree Counseling has both in-person and online options. Clients must be located in Illinois during session. Each therapist makes and maintains their own schedule, and may have certain time slots for in-person and certain time slots for telehealth.

COVID-19 Protocol: We have air filters in every room the office. Masks are not required at this time, but you are welcome to wear one. Each client checks in at the front and completes a screening to check-in for their session. If you have been exposed to COVID or are experiencing any symptoms, sessions will switch to virtual or will be cancelled/rescheduled.

  • You can take a look at our team to decide which therapist you are interested in working with–you can contact them directly or fill out the contact form on our website noting your preference. Our admins will connect you with a therapist who has availability and would be a good fit based on what you are looking to work on.

Due to fluctuating caseloads or scheduling differences, some therapists may be full and you can be placed on a waiting list or meet with another therapist.

  • Sessions are typically weekly, but frequency will be discussed with your therapist. Sessions last for about 50 minutes. Scheduling will be done with your therapist. Most will schedule a recurring time each week with you if your schedules allow.

  • Maybe? There’s no simple answer for this one. We believe there is healing power in community and that building a supportive community can be a serious challenge. Therapy is one way to begin that journey. If you want to make change but don’t know where to start, if you know where to start; but you need help figuring out the next step; or if you just need someone to see your vision and walk beside you while you figure it out- therapy could be a good place to start.
